Dr Chloe Groznik Independent Consultant Clinical Psychologist

(She/Her)

Chloe has been working as a clinical psychologist since 2015. She specialises in working with children, adolescents and families. She has worked extensively in the public sector with children and adolescents with complex trauma, attachment difficulties, emotion dysregulation, neurodivergence and eating disorders. She has worked in inpatient, day patient and outpatient settings, in multidisciplinary teams and is familiar with public sector processes.

Chloe is a warm, approachable clinician who uses a relational approach to identify the young person’s strengths and difficulties. She aims to support young persons by building healthy, lasting connections with families, friends and educational/vocational settings and longer term, a healthy view of self, others and the world. She welcomes family members and close supports in sessions to support the young person. She values the multidisciplinary approach and is supportive of collaborations with professionals such as paediatricians, psychiatrists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, teachers and chaplains.

Chloe also sees adults who are keen to work through family-of-origin issues, reflect on how that can impact on their current relational patterns as romantic partners and/or parents and gently implement change. Being a mother herself, she is aware of the societal pressures of modern parenting and is keen to help parents find the joy in parenthood while developing and strengthening their village of support.

Chloe uses evidence based therapy approaches including mentalization based therapy, schema therapy, family based therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy. The choice of therapy is jointly determined by the client and Chloe, ensuring the most appropriate fit and regular reviews for progress.

Chloe is a board approved supervisor since 2020 and supervises other psychologists and mental health professionals in both individual and group settings. She also has a strong research background with a PhD and over 10 publications, and is a scientist-practitioner who integrates scientific research and clinical practice.

Chloe runs her own independent practice and engages Perth Psychology Collective to provide administrative and other business services to enable her to provide assessment and treatment to her clients.
