Bronwyn Rowe Provisional Psychologist

she/her

Hi there!

I’m Bronwyn Rowe, a registered Provisional Psychologist with over five years of psychology training and experience in private practice. I work with adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples navigating a range of emotional, relational, and life challenges. My approach is person-centred, recognising that you are the expert in your own life. I see therapy as a collaborative process that builds on your existing strengths, experiences, and values. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable being yourself.

Every person’s experiences are unique, so I believe therapy should be too. Drawing on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy, I tailor therapy to your individual needs.

People seek therapy for many different reasons, but often they come feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious—whether within themselves, in their relationships, or during periods of transition. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while developing a repertoire of psychological skills that support your goals and help you respond to life’s challenges with greater confidence and flexibility.

While it’s important to understand what is happening in the present, I also believe it’s valuable to explore the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may have shaped the challenges you are facing today. Lasting change often begins with a trusting therapeutic relationship built on curiosity and collaboration. By making sense of these patterns together, we can develop practical strategies that support meaningful progress. This process offers the opportunity to slow down, reflect on your experiences, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Alongside my clinical work, I teach Health Psychology and Cultural Psychology at university level and am a PhD candidate researching the relationship between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and recovery. Teaching and research have reinforced my understanding that mental health is shaped by many interconnected factors, including our relationships, culture, physical health and lived experiences. This perspective continues to inform my commitment to providing culturally informed, evidence-based care that is responsive to each person’s unique background.
