Jason Weel Independent Consultant Registered Psychologist

(he/him)

“I see therapy not as fixing, but as an honest engagement with life’s essential questions. There are no premeditated treatment plans, or labels prior to contact.”

Jason is a psychologist who approaches therapy as a deeply human and reflective space. It is a place for honesty, courage, and meaningful self-exploration.

He has more than 15 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of challenges. These include sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, substance misuse, addiction, anxiety, grief, depression, trauma, hopelessness, career transitions, and relationship difficulties. His work also explores connection with self, emotional awareness, and existential concerns.

Jason’s professional background includes military and emergency services, policing and forensic settings, and women’s wellbeing. This diverse experience allows him to work with people from many walks of life and understand a broad range of personal experiences.

His work is grounded in an existential perspective. Together, therapy may explore questions of meaning, authenticity, freedom, and belonging. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnosis, Jason helps people understand how they relate to life’s challenges and uncertainties.

Sessions provide space to pause and reflect. Experiences such as anxiety, loss, suffering, and life transitions are explored with curiosity and compassion. These moments can become opportunities for deeper self-understanding and growth.

Jason’s approach is integrative, compassionate, and reflective. He believes growth begins when people turn toward life’s challenges rather than away from them.

He welcomes individuals and couples aged 16 years and above.
