I am a provisionally registered psychologist and have experience working with people across the lifespan, ranging from young children and teenagers all the way through to older adults. I am passionate about working with individuals who experience depression, mood and anxiety related disorders and enjoy assisting people to make real change in their lives. Do you struggle with feeling overwhelmed and stressed or have trouble managing your moods? Do you have difficulty concentrating, or feel like you’re in a constant state of panic? Is it hard to get up the motivation to get going in the morning, get out and be social, or to make healthy choices for yourself? If you relate to even some of these things, my guess is you’ll find therapy beneficial.
Having worked in crisis support, as well as alcohol and drug counselling, I’ve heard the life stories of a variety of people. I go into every interaction with an open mind, and pride myself on being empathetic, and non-judgemental. My approach to therapy is collaborative and person-centred. I don’t believe there is such a thing as a one-size-fits-all, and instead prefer to work as a team with my clients, focusing on their personal needs and therapeutic goals.
My aim is to create an environment where you feel safe and heard. So, whether that means you need to have a good cry, or a good laugh, I want you to feel like you are in a comfortable space to express yourself, and to feel supported and stable in the relationship that we form. Please contact reception to book an appointment with me. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
